Jonathan Banta is the Chief Executive Officer of The 44 Group, a comprehensive healthcare consulting organization based in Dallas, TX. In a fractional CEO/COO capacity, he works with several organizations nationwide to implement strategic initiatives that create operational efficiencies, increasing and diversifying revenue streams and mitigating risk through compliance.
Previously, Mr. Banta was the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founding Partner of Bare Dermatology in Dallas, Texas. Bare Dermatology is based on uncompromised employee culture, clinical care, and patient experience principles.
His role was to implement a vision of scalable growth while continuing improvements in clinical care and providing patients with the best treatment options available. He was heavily focused on developing and building an incredible culture with an outstanding roster of employees.
Before Bare Dermatology, Mr. Banta served as the Chief Executive Officer of two other dermatology groups in Dallas, Texas, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There, he implemented an organic growth model incorporating standardized processes that dramatically improved medical efficiencies. Both organizations were recognized as market share leaders in their respective markets, offering patients various treatment options and clinic locations.
In 2019, he accepted the Momentum Innovation Award from Modernizing Medicine based on analytical performance metrics for efficiency and effectiveness in utilizing their practice management software across all specialties. He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Dermatology at Modernizing Medicine.
Before his ventures in dermatology, Mr. Banta spent fifteen years as an executive in ERP software integration and change management consulting services. His focus was on SAP and Microsoft, and he spent the last ten years as the President and Founding Partner at Concero Partners. This extensive experience showcases his technical knowledge and expertise.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Banta earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University. He also earned a Master of Jurisprudence degree from the Texas A&M School of Law, specializing in Health Law, Policy, and Management, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The Texas A&M School of Law Graduate Program, sponsored by the Texas Health Law Council, selected him as the 2023 Texas Health Law Conference Scholarship Recipient.

In this role he set the strategic vision and built out a high impact Medical Affairs division, to include headquarters and field-based medical teams. Beyond this primary responsibility, he served as the primary liaison between Medical Affairs and Sales/Marketing, Payer Access, and Strategic Channels teams.

These conferences include the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants annual meeting, Dermatology University, the SCOPE program, and most recently the HONE meeting to educate HCPs on dermatopathology and genomics.
Throughout his career he has worked closely with the biopharmaceutical, laboratory, and device industries. He has served as a consultant to many major biopharma groups, to include AbbVie, Amgen, Celgene, Lilly, Johnson and Johnson, Novartis, and Allergan.
